My oven doesn't go low enough for the recipe

If your oven doesn't go low enough to follow our recipe, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Turn the oven as low as it will go.
  2. Hang a tea towel over the door of the oven so that it can close without shutting completely. The gap around the oven door will keep the temperature down and will help any moisture to escape.
  3. Wait until the biltong is fully dried through. It may take closer to 2 hours as the oven temperature is slightly higher, so make sure keep an eye on it.
